Brenda Foehrkolb is an artist with a wide range of interests. Originally from Newport News, VA, she has lived in Maryland for many years, residing on the Eastern Shore since 1997. She works mostly in acrylics, but loves any opportunity to use glitter and sparkle.

Brenda has been creative for as long as she can remember, although taking a few classes and translating that into something called "art" came later -- after her husband retired and the children left home. In her perfect world, she would be creating a new project every week .. or two or three at a time.

Brenda's training began with Ros Stallcup in 2002 and Beth Wagner in 2005. In 2004 Brenda studied with Dee Hergert and began her love of Baltimore Painted Screens. Brenda's art works range from baby furniture to the garden gate - and everything in between. She was featured in Delaware Today magazine March 2003 with a faux painted kitchen backsplash. In addition to painted screens, one of her most popular items is Jeweled Jeans -- painted and decorated with glitter and jewels -- fit for a rock star! Visit to see more!

Brenda's favorite quote is "Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars" - it suits her artistic style perfectly. She plans to continue painting classes and hopes to have an opportunity in the future to learn stained glass techniques.
